Park City Golf |
|
Any conversation about Park City golf starts with one course. The most popular course in Park City, and possibly in all of Utah, is the Park City Golf Club, easily accessible from the Waldorf Astoria Park City. This modestly priced but pleasantly challenging municipal course is beautiful to look at and a joy to play, making it a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Park City Golf Club is consistently ranked as one of the premier public golf courses in the region. The course was first built in 1963 as a nine-hole course. The signature golf course was redesigned in 1976 by renowned course designer William Neff to its current 18 holes. In 2003, number 18 was redesigned by William Neff Jr., and is now legendary as one of the classic finishing holes in Utah. Though the elevation of 6700 may take a little out of your lungs, it will add substantial distance to your shots. The lofty elevation also serves to keep golfers much cooler than other nearby areas, an especially welcome feature during the warmer summer months. In addition to its professionally designed and well-kept greens, Park City Golf Club offers a challenging game at one of the state's most enviable locations. Other great choices for Park City golf are Mountain Dell, a 36-hole public course west of Park City on I-80, and a handful of choices at the two courses at Wasatch Mountain, another two at Soldier Hollow, and The Homestead, all located in nearby Heber, Utah. |
